11 Months Old

11 Months Old and in my warm-up suit!

Grant was 11 months old yesterday. Andrew and I can't believe a year ago we were waiting for him to arrive. Every month I think he is at my favorite stage and I continue to think that-It just gets better every day. He is so much fun!

Updates

-Not sure how tall he is but I put him on the scale this morning and it said 21.5 pounds (may be a little heavy).
-Clothing size- 12-18 months
-Diapers-Size 3 Pampers Cruisers. (STILL)
-Grant is definitely getting better at walking. The past 2 weeks he has made lots of progress. He now will let go of something and is able to walk across the family room. He is pretty wobbly, but getting much better. He got his first split lip this week-he was walking while drinking his bottle and took a fall. Lots of blood!
-He tries climbing on everything. He loves to get on our ladder shelves in the family room-Not good! He also loves to play with paper, water jugs and water cooler and get into the cupboards. Grant thinks it is fun to get his hair brushed and watch Daddy brush his teeth before work.
-He went to his first football game last Sunday and we taught him touchdown before he went. He loved to do touchdown and clap for the Texans.
-Babbling a lot more now too. The only words I can identify are Mom, Dad, Bottle and Dog. I know he is saying a lot more but have no clue what.
-Still 3 bottles/sippy cups a day.
-Getting a little picky on what he will eat. Still loves his fruit-not so crazy about his vegtables or meat. He says Yum or Umm when he is eating something he likes.

Pumpkin Patch Playgroup and Halloween Party

Lots of Halloween fun last week! We went to a pumpkin patch with our playgroup on Wednesday. We took lots of pictures in the pumpkins and had a story and song time.
The Recker's Family also had a Baby Halloween Party on Saturday. All of the kids wore their Halloween costumes and it was adorable!!! We were all laughing so hard when we tried to get a group picture! Pretty much impossible these days. Sarah (The Recker's Family) has some great pictures of the kids-so check out her blog for more pics (I just didn't have room to put them all on mine).

These pictures were all taken by Lauren and are hilarous. Sophie and Grant hanging out on the bench. Of course the puppy has a ball and Sophie wants to pet him. *Side note-many of the kiddos wanted to pet Grant.Sophie says, "Hey is that you Grant? You are so cute as a puppy!"

Sophie in her picture pose and Grant wondering if he can get the ball in his mouth.

Grant is posing now.

The rest of the pictures are all from our trip to the pumpkin patch with our playgroup.

This Week

Grant continues to take a few steps on his own. It is so funny to watch him. He also started waving good-bye at the appropriate times (and at ladies at dinner tonight!) and snapping his fingers. I have no clue where that started, but he actually makes a sound sometimes. This week he has not been as good of an eater-not as crazy about his vegetables and not eating as much. One thing he does love is my lasagna. He kept saying "mmmm" while he ate it. Grandma Linda was also here at the beginning of the week and we went shopping. She bought him his first bike helmet so he can start riding in the bike trailer with Andrew. He wore it around Toys R Us and just kept cracking up. He chuckles a lot now which makes me laugh too. Nothing is better than a babies belly laugh! Trying on his helmet for Dad
Eating my lasagna-what a mess!

Mosquito 1...Grant 0

Grant got in a fight with a mosquito in the car and lost! He has 3 big bumps on his face. The one under his eye makes him look like he has a black eye. He still looks pretty darn cute!

Caroline Claire is born

Grant's cousin Caroline Claire was born 2 weeks ago. We went to meet her last weekend in Corpus Christi. She is such an adorable baby and we are so glad my sister lives closer now so we can spend more time with them! Little Princess
Hanging out with Grant while he has his dinner.

Grant is excited to meet his cousin (and eat his dinner!!)

First Steps

Grant took his first few steps yesterday and a few more today. I don't think he will be "walking" for a while, but he is definitely working on it! The first time he did it it was much better than what we got an video the 2nd time, but we wanted to post something.

Dewberry Farm

Today we went to Dewberry Farms with a few of our friends and their kiddos. It is an adorable farm almost an hour away that has a wonderful pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals, playground and a bunch of fun activities for kids. I look forward to taking Grant there when he is older and can enjoy it all. We bought some pumpkins, took pictures and got to see some farm animals. Grant squealed when he saw the goats and horses (I can't wait to take him to the zoo this week with his playgroup after seeing how much he liked the animals). Grant is going to be a Puppy for Halloween. As you can see from the pictures below he is not so excited about it. We have 2 Halloween parties where he will be wearing it again so hopefully I will get a good picture before Halloween to post! My little puppy!!!
Grant, Sophie, Ryan and Mason. Aren't they adorable? It is very hard to get a good picture of all of them together.

This picture makes me laugh-Mason is upset, Sophie and Grant want to hold hands and Ryan is looking down at Sophie wanting to know why they are in the middle of nowhere in their Halloween costumes.

"Why is my mom making me where this costume?"

Family picture before it rained.

"Check out my shoes Uncle Brad-I am wearing my Foot Joys!"

Before the costume change.
