Dewberry Farms

Today we went to Dewberry Farms for our second time-the first one being 2 years ago. Looking back at the blog it is so funny to see those pictures and how much Grant has changed. Since we are in a major drought in Texas this year there weren't that many pumpkins, but we still went out in the fields on the big trailer (where they just placed a bunch of pumpkins from somewhere else) and took pictures. After the trailer ride and pictures Grant rode a pony which he really enjoyed, checked out the animals in the barn and then played on the big fort and slides. We had a really nice morning with friends. Of course Bryce was a trooper and just smiled until he was hungry! Here are a bunch of pictures from the day.
So excited to head to the pumpkin patch!
I love this look- and so lucky I get to see it often!
(This picture is out of order but had to include) I love the look on Grant's face. He went down this slide over and over!
Grant, Ryan and Mason. We are missing Sophie this year! Two years ago the four of them were in their Halloween costumes in these fields. Like 2 years ago-we still can't get everyone to look at the camera and smile at the same time.

I love this one-Grant looking off and Bryce studying the hay
Loving his brother-as you can see his forehead is still healing-getting much better

Bryce is 8 months old

Bryce was 8 months old yesterday (no that is the reason why he has on the Happy Birthday bib-of course that is a hand me down from Grant's 1st birthday-hehe). He is still an extremely happy baby and smiles all the time. Here are all of his updates and new things.
Weight-around 17 pounds is what he weighed at the Dr last week when we went-he had a virus and a sinus infection- 4 days of high fever:( Not sure on height.
Diapers-still size 3 and clothing still wearing 6-12 months depending on brand
Feeding-Bryce has tried LOTS of new finger foods in the past couple of weeks. I have given up on baby food-he won't even open his mouth for it anymore. He is so stubborn! He has had pizza (ate a whole piece last night), fish, avocado, mixed vegetables, tortillas, toast, cheese, yogurt melts, kolache bread, small pieces of chicken and pasta and I am sure some other things I am leaving out. He doesn't want to be fed-he wants to feed himself! Mr. Independent! He is still getting all breast milk and still debating whether we are going to start some formula this month. Getting 5 feedings of milk a day between 6-12 ounces when getting a bottle. Going to cut him down to 4 feedings this month now that he is eating more.
Still 2 naps a day (sometimes a 3rd cat nap)- 1-2 hours in morning and 2-3 in afternoon.
Movement-Bryce starting crawling a day before he turned 8 months. I posted a video of his crazy crawling yesterday. He also loves to roll around the room to get objects he wants-mainly cords, Grant's toys, phones, remotes, books, etc. I don't know if I am ready for all of this again!
Favorites-Bryce loves to have things over his face. When I change his diaper in our bedroom he always rolls over to the drapes to play in them. He also likes a good game of peek-a-boo. Of course he is still crazy about his big brother and doggie and likes to play and chew on books (still no teeth).
First Word-Mum ma. Starting saying Mum Ma a few weeks ago.
After being sick for a week and being held all the time he is now mad every time you leave him in the room and throws a fit! Pretty funny because he then smiles when you return. He is also is not afraid to let you know he is mad when you take toys or objects a way from him.
That's it for the updates-here are a few cute pictures from the past 2 weeks.

Loves to swing in the backyard

Check out my Nikes-Daddy dressed me today!
Hanging out during the IL game-giggling it up with Daddy!

Our First Trip to the ER with Grant:(

In the ER room waiting to get stitches with Mommy. He kept busy playing withe remote for the TV. He was so brave!
Still waiting for stitches!! His poor eye kept getting more and more swollen and black and blue.
The morning after-poor eye was almost swollen shut:( and 6 stitches!
On Saturday we went out for dinner in Town Center in SL. After dinner Grant was running around outside, tripped and hit his head on an iron bench. I picked him up right away and held him for a few moments until I looked at his face. I totally did not expect to see blood all over his face:( Of course I didn't have my diaper bag on me (it was with Andrew who was watching a football game inside a restaurant/bar). My friend Courtney ran to get me a towel and ice and I called Andrew in a panic to come. I then hit another car leaving the parking spot (Awesome job Mom! lucky it was little damage and just gave my name and number to the couple). We got in right away at the hospital, but then waited about an hour for them to do the stitches. He was such a trooper--he yelled at the Dr. repeatedly no and then got calm and told him he didn't like it and to stop. I couldn't help but to smile for a second while I was trying not to cry. It is no fun to listen to your baby in pain:( After it was over he was a new man and enjoyed his popsicle. He even told everyone thank you. Hopefully we will not have too many more of these visits to the ER!!

Bryce is Crawling..

Bryce started crawling yesterday! Of course it was because he wanted my phone. He is really into phones, remotes, computers and papers he isn't supposed to have:) It is a crazy way of crawling but he is doing it:)
