Rice Cereal for the 1st Time

This weekend Bryce tried rice cereal for the 1st time. He was very excited and kept sticking out his tongue-not too sure of what to do with it:) 1st bite..

ummm...let me get my fingers in it...and Chief may want a lick also

Cereal and fingers-what a good combo

Big Messy Smile!

I really like the taste on my hands

I had to hold his hands out of the way to get the spoon in-he has a big tongue like me and loves to stick it out

And the after shots...happy boy!

There is that big tongue smile:)

Memorial Day Weekend

The Gottemoller's (my sister and her family) came to visit for the weekend. We had a great time hanging out at the house grilling out and playing in the backyard in the pool, water table and bounce house. Here are some pictures from Saturday. Swimming in the pool

Posing for the pictures for his Auntie-what a ham he is.

Sweet Caroline and Grant-as you can see the counter at Marshalls attacked him between his eyes on Friday.

In the bounce house with his cousins

1st Time to Chuck E Cheese and Zoo

Grant (and Bryce-haha) went to his first birthday party at Chuck E Cheese a couple of weeks ago. I was kind of scared to take both boy there by myself-but I have to stay it was a lot smaller than I remember and wasn't bad at all. Right before the party both Grant and Bryce had Dr. appts where they both got shots-Grant still had (and has-going on 4 weeks) an ear infection and Bryce was getting his 4 month vaccinations.
OK-side story...and my new favorite Grant story....after Grant got his shot in his leg it was Bryce's turn. Grant freaked out and as he was still crying over his shots he tried charging the nurse screaming, "Not my baby Bryce! No!". Luckily Andrew was with me and was able to take Grant outside. I then started crying because it was too sweet that Grant cared about his little brother so much and wanted to protect him! Sooo sweet! Oh I love my boys! BTW-Bryce didn't cry for his first shot at all and only whimpered for the 2nd.
Ok back to bday party...Grant had a great time. He kept putting multiple coins in the machine while the ride was still going on but he thought it was great and had fun. Now every time he sees a Chucky Cheese commerical he yells for me.
Also that week we went to the zoo with friends. We have been trying to get as many zoo trips in as we can before it gets too hot in Houston.
On the Chucky Cheese Ride with his cup of coins-with his train hat Pappa Collins sent him.

Riding the careusol at the zoo. He was a little unsure at first but definitely liked it.

A mouth full of goldfish with Marley and Sebastian.

Bryce and Grant had matching shorts on-Bryce is such a great baby and was great at the zoo.

Grant, Mason, Marley, Brooks and Sebastian looking at the lions.

Matching Shirts

I love to put the boys in coordinating or matching outfits/shirts. Here are the pictures I took several weeks ago before church.

Love this one of Bryce..not a great one of Grant

Bryce is 4 months old!

Bryce was 4 months old yesterday! I can't believe 4 months has already flown by. The time has gone by way too quick...I just want to enjoy every minute with him! Bryce is still a VERY happy laid back little guy. He smiles at us all the time and just melts our hearts.

Stats
Height- 25 inches- 50%
Weight-13 pounds 12 oz-30% (lean just like his big bro and daddy)
Head-17 inches-75%

Diapers-Size 2

Feedings/Sleeping-Still eating every 3-4 hours during the day. Before he had a cold 3 weeks ago he was pretty much sleeping through the night-getting his last feeding around 8 and waking up between 4:30-7am. I was super excited, but then he got a cold and went back to waking up 2-3 times. Then the following week he got back on track AND then he got sick again and are back 2 times during the night:( Good news he is starting to feel better and last night only woke up once:) He usually takes 2 small naps in the morning, a BIG nap in the afternoon-anywhere from 2-4 hours and then a cat nap in the evening.
He eats around 7 times a day -one of the feeding being a 6 oz bottle.

Other- He laughs and chuckles now-which is the best. He laughs the most in the late evening. I just love it! He loves to be on his side and rolls from back to belly. He has only rolled once from belly to back which is supposed to be the easier one. Bryce is also getting better at lifting his head up when on his belly for longer periods or time.
Having some tummy time!

Hanging out on the couch-I don't know how those chunky thighs can be in the 30% of weight.

Watching Baby Einstein in his exersaucer. He can barely touch is feet to the bottom so I put a book under him.

His favorite position to sleep and hang out on the floor when on his activity mat.

Daddy and His Boys

Grant has always been a super snuggly kiddo. When he was a baby he loved to be held and hold hands and now loves to snuggle in the morning when he wakes up and before bed at night. He says, "Mommy hold you" (still working on pronouns:) ). This was a snuggle session before bed the other night..Bryce decided he wanted to be part of it too. Daddy and his boys

Last Day of School

Today was Grant's last day of school in the Bunny Room at Southminster. I can't believe the year is already over. His teachers made each student a book with pictures from the first day of school until last week. It was so fun to look at all the cute things he did there and how much he has changed since August. I look forward to him going back to Southminster next year:) Grant's teacher's Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Janie

Grant and Bryce

Below are a few pictures from the past week of Grant and Bryce. My baby boy!!! He is starting to chuckle and laugh out loud more! I love when he squeals and talk to us.

Grant and Bryce hanging out while I make dinner

Playgroup on Thursday-Grant had his first Popsicle and loved it!

He had 2 red Popsicles-since red is his favorite color! He is in his swimsuit because we had the water tables out in the yard.

In their matching shirts and shorts! Love it!

Houston We Have a Problem..Bryce is a Thumb Sucker!

We have tried to prevent this, BUT its not working....Bryce LOVES his thumb. Every time he put his fingers in his mouth I would take them out and put his pacifier in. He would then smile, spit it out and put his fingers-mainly his thumb back in. So I have given up-Bryce loves it and for now we will let him have it:) This is how he likes to sleep-rolled on his side-thumb in mouth and other arm over hiding his face. What a sweetie!

Right before he rolled over to find his thumb (sorry pictures are in reverse)

Easter Sunday

Last weekend we had a great Easter. That morning we went to church and out for breakfast. After naps Grant and Bryce got their Easter baskets and Grant had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. Grant is not crazy about the Easter Bunny. Every time we asked him if he wanted the Easter Bunny to come to the house he said Nooo Noo! What is cute is that he remembers who gives him gifts now and wants to say thank you. He opened an Easter card from my parents one day and a couple of days later I was on the phone with my mom and he kept saying thank you for Easter card "Bama"( new name for my mom). I think its adorable that he always wants to thank everyone. After our Egg hunt here we went to our friends house-The Baker's- for dinner and another Easter Egg Hunt. Here are a few pictures from the day:)

Not the best pictures of me and my boys but had to put them on here since I never have any pictures of me with them.

Grant with his Easter basket. He is still really into Thomas the Train.

Look at those chubby legs! Love them.

Bryce with his basket and new toysLove this picture since Chief is in it and Bryce can't stop looking at him.Mason and Grant hunting for eggsMason, Carter and Grant-they were so cute and even gave each other eggs during the hunt.

Time to dig into the candy!
