Bryce is 11 months old!

Bryce was 11 months old on Sunday. As I write this I have a lump in my throat-I can't believe my baby is almost 1. I feel like this year went by way too fast and my baby is growing WAY too fast. I think I am also emotional since this could be my last baby. I feel extremely blessed to have 2 healthy and happy boys!.... But, there is still part of me that wants just 1 more...we will see when Bryce turns 2 what we decide, but I think it makes it harder knowing this could be my last little one. I know I have said it every month, but Bryce is still such a joy-a very happy baby(although he definitely lets you know when he isn't happy these days especially when he wants to be held and you put him down). Here are all his updates..
Weight-19.5 pounds-12% :(
Height-around 28.5 inches
Size 3 diapers
Wearing 12 month clothes in most things
Shoe size 3.5-4
-Eating-happy to say I MADE IT! I am almost done breastfeeding. I am just nursing him in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon and then he gets a bottle of frozen breastmilk in the evening. I only have about 1-2 weeks of milk left in freezer so we started whole milk this week also-mixing it in. At first he was spitting it out, but yesterday I gave him a sippy cup of all whole milk warmed up and he drank the whole thing:) When he go home to IL I will be leaving my pump:) and by 1 year Bryce will be on all whole milk and hopefully off the bottle too! He eats like a horse just like his brother did at this age. He loves fruit and will always eat it first if you put several things on tray-especially berries. He also loves carrots, pizza, tortillas..and just about everything else you put in front of him. The other night he ate 2 large pieces of pizza, a pear, yogurt and vegetable pouch. I think he would have kept eating if I put more on his plate. After a bath he ate an 8 oz bottle. oink! oink!
-Sleep-still 2 naps a day and goes to bed around 8:30pm and up at 7am
-He loves to be tickled and claps for everything. Whenever music comes on in car, at church, commericals, etc he claps. He also waves to everyone. At dinner the other night he kept waving and smiling at another baby and then would babble. Bryce really enjoys being around other babies.
-Talking-Lots of DaDa, a little mama, likes to say LaLa-not sure what that means though. He babbles a lot-especially at night.
-Crawling on all fours and army (still prefers) and pulls up on everything. A little cruising and walking with walker too.

Making a mess eating a meatball sub-he ate the whole 6 inch sub!

He loves to listen to Mickey sing

Christmas Fun

We have been having lots of fun getting ready for Christmas this year. Grant really gets Santa this year and it's so much fun to watch him get excited and talk about Santa/Christmas. This post has pictures from Moody Garden's Festival of Lights and The Christmas Train in Alvin. Even Bryce loved all of the lights and couldn't stop babbling about them.

Grant at The Christmas Train in Alvin. It was super cute. We took a little train ride around this camp that was all decorated with lights and then we visited Santa where he asked Santa again for a train table, gatorade and m&ms. Grant loved being on the train! This was the last picture I took before the camera was dropped and broke. The rest of the pictures were taken with Andrew's phone.

Grant's 3rd Birthday

Grant had a great 3rd birthday. I feel like we have been celebrating for weeks since his birthday party was almost 3 weeks ago. Not sure how he is going to do when his birthday and Christmas are over and there are no more parties and presents. We shopped today at Kohl's for a gift for the little boy we picked from the church tree. Grant looked at all the toys and picked out a fire truck for him. I reminded him it wasn't for him, but for another little boy. He replied, "I want the fire truck too". I told him no and reminded gain who it was for. He stopped for a second and said, "Well I want it for my birthday then". I told him he would be waiting a while:) We also went to the Dr today and Grant is very healthy-for the first time Grant is in the 50% for weight! Hooray!!! He is also in the 50% for height and had great blood pressure:) Below are the pictures from his actual birthday. The picture above is at chapel at his school-Bryce and I got to come and watch his birthday chapel.
My little man praying! They were saying a blessing for him and the other little girl who shared his birthday-so sweet! He is wearing a birthday crown his teacher from Monday made him:)
After nap Grant got open his presents. Here he is on his scooter (which he says foo-ter)
Riding his new bike with Dad! He loves it.
Family picture before we headed out for dinner. Grant chose LaEscondida for tacos and chips and cheese. Just like his Mommy and Daddy- he loves Mexican!
After dinner we came home for cake and ice cream. Grant doesn't really like cake or cookies-will only eat them once in a while, BUT he LOVES ice cream ..and so does his little brother.

Happy 3rd Birthday Grant!

Happy 3rd Birthday Grant! I can't believe 3 years ago you came into our lives. It has been a joy watching you grow and learn new things. I can't wait to see what this year brings. I love you tons!
Here are a bunch of pictures my friend Lauren took of Grant while she was in town. I will post pictures of today and his updates later this week:)

Thanksgiving/Xmas tree

Loving the Xmas tree-we can't keep him away from it.

My 2 little turkeys on Thanksgiving
Bryce in his Thanksgiving shirt
This year for Thanksgiving it was just us. No one came to visit and we stayed here since we are flying home for Christmas. Though it was kind of quiet, we still had a nice day and so many things to be thankful for! We are so very thankful for our 2 healthy and happy boys!! I can't imagine my life without them. In the morning we packed the kiddos up and went downtown for the Thanksgiving parade. Grant really enjoyed it and Bryce was happy to just hang out outside and see the big balloons:) When we got home we got our turkey in the roaster and started dinner while the boys took naps. Dinner was good, but I have to say it was a lot of work for just us eating. Way too many dishes!
The next day we put up the tree while the boys napped. Grant was so excited to see it and both boys love to look at it. Grant just keeps saying WOW when he looks at it and gets so excited to look at all the different ornaments-especially the Mickey Mouse ones from Disney the past 2 years (I always buy ornaments from places we visit each year-it is so fun while decorating the tree to remember all the fun places we have lived, visited, etc).
Little update on Bryce-he now has 5 teeth-got another top tooth this weekend and hasn't stopped talking and babbling the past couple of days. I love to hear him to talk:)
Tomorrow Grant will be 3 years old!!

Visit to Santa

Last Wednesday I took the boys to go see Santa for the first time this year (Bryce's 1st trip ever:) ). I wasn't sure how Grant was going to do since he kept reminding me he cried when he saw Santa last year. I can't believe he actually remembers that and even asked Andrew if he had told him. We were the only ones in line so we got to spend lots of time with him. Grant was a little timid at first, but warmed up quickly. Bryce, of course, didn't mind at all and smiled the whole time. Here is the funny conversation between Grant and Santa. Santa asked what he wanted for XMAS..Grant says, " A train table. M&Ms. Gatorade. " Santa then looked at me and said, "In all of my years I have never had a kid ask me for Gatorade". They then chat a little while and Santa gave Grant a coloring book. Grant looked at it pointed to the picture of Santa and yelled "Santa!" then he pointed at the snowman and yelled "Ghost! " Santa gave me a strange look and told Grant it was his friend Frosty the Snowman. I have now told him repeatedly when he sees a snowman and yells ghost that they are snowman, but even today when we pulled up to the house he informed me we had a ghost in our yard. I am sure we will visit Santa again before Christmas when Andrew is with us, but had to share the first experience of the season:)

Grant's 3rd birthday party

Grant had his 3rd birthday party this past weekend at Sugar Creek Baptist's Church indoor playscape. Yes we are 2 weeks early but that was the only date they had around his birthday so we went for it! Grant had a wonderful time climbing, jumping, sliding, etc with all of his friends:) His cousins also came in from Corpus so he was very excited to have them there to play and celebrate. My sister made the little collage above and below are tons of pictures.
The birthday invitation Courtney made! Super cute-our 2 little crazy cowboys!
The cupcakes I made and my sister frosted
