Visit to Santa

This year Grant seemed to like Santa a lot more than last year! There was a crowd of "big" kids talking to him when we first walked up so Grant was excited to walk over and hang out with them. When all of the big kids left and it was just him, he started taking steps back away from Santa. I had to go stand by Santa to get Grant to come back and then put him on Santa's lap. He kept looking at Santa and then at me wondering what was going on. He finally started smiling when I played peek-a-boo and then ran up and tickled him.
This was last year's picture when Grant was less than a week old. I just had to have a picture with Santa so I made my husband, in-laws and Grant go to the mall when he was just a few days old. I then woke up my sweet baby just so I could get this picture. Santa had no clue how to hold a newborn and I had to keep walking up to help him and calm Grant down. Not such a great idea!

It snowed today in Houston! We took Grant out for a minute to walk in it. It was very wet and slushy snow so we weren't out long. I just snapped a couple of pics. This silly hat (grandma bought) is the only hat the little guy has. He looked so funny!

1 Year Stats/Updates

I can't believe my baby is One Year Old! He is getting to be such a little man now and makes me laugh all day long. He not only walks, but now runs around the house! He is full of energy and gets into all kinds of mischief. Overall he has been a pretty easy baby who is very happy. He is still a snuggler (which I love) and now he gives kisses and hugs often. Here are all of his stats/updates.....

Height-30 inches (50%)
Weight-21 lbs 4 oz (10%)-yes Grant takes after his Dad and is thin!
Head-50%
Diapers-Just moved to Size 4 Pampers Cruisers
Clothing-Mainly 12-18 months
Shoes-Size 5
5 Teeth-3 on bottom and 2 on top-I swear he should be getting more soon-his gums have been swollen for weeks!

Schedule-He still is taking 2 naps a day! Thank you!!!! One in the morning for around a hour and in the afternoon around 2pm for 2 hours. He goes to sleep between 7:30-8 now.
-Grant is done with bottles and formula as of a week ago. Grant now takes 3 sippy cups of whole milk a day!!!

-Food...for the most part he is a good eater, but there are other days not so much. He preferred vegetables when he was younger, but now he definitely loves his fruit more. Getting him to eat vegetables can be tricky these days, but I try to get him to eat a couple each day. Food Dislikes-hamburger meat and meat in general-though he will eat chicken, turkey, etc sometimes-just not his favorite. Loves-Cantaloupe, strawberries, cheese!, bananas, yogurt, goldfish crackers, tortillas, lasagna...

Favorites
-He now loves brushing his hair or having his hair brushed. I bought him a new brush and he loves to carry it around with him.
-Belts- carries them around and chews on them
-He still loves books. He turns the pages and babbles. I pointed at a dog in Brown Bear, Brown Bear and he said "dawg"
-his cell phone he got for his birthday-it flips open so I think he thinks it is the real thing
-he still searches around for laptops, remotes, Daddy's blackberry (his fav) and any other gadget he shouldn't have
-Loves his new Cozy Coupe-climbs in and out and closes the door when he gets in!
-Loves to be outside with the older kids in the neighborhood

1 year/XMAS pics

These are a few of my favorite pics of Grant's 1 year/Xmas pictures. Lauren did a great job! It was raining that day so we still have to go back and do some outdoor pics too.

Happy 1st Birthday Grant

Happy Birthday Grant!!! We love you so much!
Here are the pictures Lauren took for his first cake smash. I laughed so hard..it was so cute!

Cozy Coupe

Grandma and Grandpa Muller gave Grant an early Christmas present yesterday...his first car...The Cozy Coupe. He loves it...so funny trying to climb in and out without using the door of course! Andrew says he does it Dukes of Hazard style.

Bayou Wildlife Park

This Thanksgiving my parents, my sister's family and my younger brother Brad came to Houston to visit. On Saturday we went to the Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin, TX (about 30 minutes from us) and had a great time. We all laughed like crazy and will definitely visit again!
They have a variety of animals from llamas, rhinos, alligators, deer and many endangered species. You ride a 45 minute tram ride through the park and you can feed the animals from your bucket. You definitely get to see the animals up close and personal. Grant sat with Andrew most of the tram ride but was interested in the animals when they came to get food from us. Just getting to the park- Already got to feed the lamas who came up to the car
Checking out the giraffes before getting on the tram

Cousin Madeline, grandma and grandpa-Madeline squealed the whole time. She loved it!

Taking off-let the fun begin!

We were startled when we turned around to see some sort of weird cattle slobbering all over our diaper bags. I love Andrew's face!

Grant liked him!

"Whoa! That camel is close!"

Grant checking out the animal while Dad is not so sure of it

"Look at him eat! He is messier than me!"

The llamas would not leave us alone. They would run alongside the tram and car begging for food.

More llamas!

Forgot what this is called but he was big!

I was most scared of the ostriches. They can be so mean, but my Dad was brave enough to feed them.

This camel was practically in the tram trying to get food from my Dad.

My sister, baby Caroline, Madeline and Uncle Paul. Love this pic!

I think these next 2 are my favorites-Uncle Brad deleting pics on our camera so we had room to take more-not realizing a camel behind him.....

AGHHH!!! "Give me some food!!" Having fun! Look at the faces on Grant and Andrew

Hanging out with the deer

The deer is way too tired to smile for pics.
