Thanksgiving/Xmas tree
This year for Thanksgiving it was just us. No one came to visit and we stayed here since we are flying home for Christmas. Though it was kind of quiet, we still had a nice day and so many things to be thankful for! We are so very thankful for our 2 healthy and happy boys!! I can't imagine my life without them. In the morning we packed the kiddos up and went downtown for the Thanksgiving parade. Grant really enjoyed it and Bryce was happy to just hang out outside and see the big balloons:) When we got home we got our turkey in the roaster and started dinner while the boys took naps. Dinner was good, but I have to say it was a lot of work for just us eating. Way too many dishes!
The next day we put up the tree while the boys napped. Grant was so excited to see it and both boys love to look at it. Grant just keeps saying WOW when he looks at it and gets so excited to look at all the different ornaments-especially the Mickey Mouse ones from Disney the past 2 years (I always buy ornaments from places we visit each year-it is so fun while decorating the tree to remember all the fun places we have lived, visited, etc).
Little update on Bryce-he now has 5 teeth-got another top tooth this weekend and hasn't stopped talking and babbling the past couple of days. I love to hear him to talk:)
Tomorrow Grant will be 3 years old!!

Visit to Santa
Last Wednesday I took the boys to go see Santa for the first time this year (Bryce's 1st trip ever:) ). I wasn't sure how Grant was going to do since he kept reminding me he cried when he saw Santa last year. I can't believe he actually remembers that and even asked Andrew if he had told him. We were the only ones in line so we got to spend lots of time with him. Grant was a little timid at first, but warmed up quickly. Bryce, of course, didn't mind at all and smiled the whole time. Here is the funny conversation between Grant and Santa. Santa asked what he wanted for XMAS..Grant says, " A train table. M&Ms. Gatorade. " Santa then looked at me and said, "In all of my years I have never had a kid ask me for Gatorade". They then chat a little while and Santa gave Grant a coloring book. Grant looked at it pointed to the picture of Santa and yelled "Santa!" then he pointed at the snowman and yelled "Ghost! " Santa gave me a strange look and told Grant it was his friend Frosty the Snowman. I have now told him repeatedly when he sees a snowman and yells ghost that they are snowman, but even today when we pulled up to the house he informed me we had a ghost in our yard. I am sure we will visit Santa again before Christmas when Andrew is with us, but had to share the first experience of the season:)Tuesday, November 15, 2011
Grant's 3rd birthday party
Grant had his 3rd birthday party this past weekend at Sugar Creek Baptist's Church indoor playscape. Yes we are 2 weeks early but that was the only date they had around his birthday so we went for it! Grant had a wonderful time climbing, jumping, sliding, etc with all of his friends:) His cousins also came in from Corpus so he was very excited to have them there to play and celebrate. My sister made the little collage above and below are tons of pictures.Bryce-10 months
Updates:
-I weighed him this morning with me and it said he was 19.5 which probably means 19 pounds at the Dr. Still wearing 6-12 size at Gap and Gymboree and 12 month clothes from Carters.
-He now has 4 teeth-2 on top and 2 on the bottom
-Still only has breast milk-feedings/bottles 3-4 times a day. Trying really hard to get him to just 3 feedings a day. Combo of table food and some fruit/vegt baby food when he lets me.
-2 naps a day still (great little sleeper!)
-This past month he started pulling himself up to standing which he LOVES (so proud of himself!) and starting to do a little cruising around his activity tables and couch. Still crawling on his belly and very quick.
-Same favorites-Mommy/Daddy, Grant (who he thinks is hilarious), Chiefy, taking toys out of toy basket, all of Grant's toys that move, power cords, paper...
