These are some pictures I forgot to post last week This is how Bryce prefers to sleep. Arms up over his head..too cute..similar to how Grant liked to sleep when he was a baby. Eventually Grant put his hands behind his head.

When Grant takes pictures with Bryce he thinks he has to be touching his face or have his arms around him. He is such a good big brother!

Rodeo Day at School

On Thursday it was Rodeo Day at school. They had pony rides, a petting zoo and games for the kids to play (this week is the start of the Houston Rodeo). I was so excited to go and watch Grant take his first pony ride. Grant and I talked about the pony ride all morning and he kept saying "Mommy-Pony Ride?" and would smile. I left Bryce with Barb for the first time (what would I do without her!) and was ready to take lots of pictures...Grant ran over to the ponies and then stopped. Tried to put him on the he screamed and cried. We made several attempts and even his teachers tried-BUT he was not having it. He was so scared of them. I wonder if I wasn't there is he would have done it. After we watched the rest of his class ride ponies for 15 minutes we went to the petting zoo where he had lots of fun!! 6 Weeks Old

Bryce was 6 weeks old on Tuesday. He is growing so fast. When I put him on the scale with me it said he was 10.5 pounds. He definitely looks like Grant when his eyes are closed but when they are open not as much. He is losing a lot of his hair! Mainly everything on top so he is going to look like an old man soon-bald on top and long hair in the back and around sides! He is smiling more-especially at night. No schedule yet- It seems to change daily and he is definitely going through a growth spurt. On Tuesday he ate the entire day-every 1-2 hours! That night he did his first 5.5 hour stretch of sleep and then slept until 3:30PM!!!!-just waking up to eat every 3 hours. I tried to keep him awake but he was not having it.
The pictures below are from the past few days-as you can see depending on his position his size looks totally different.
Bryce loves to play on his activity mat and look at the lights. He even bats at one of the rattles.

Matching Cardigans

Aunt Pammy and Mama Welch bought Grant and Bryce matching cardigans so I had to get a picture of them together. Too cute..thank you!
Bryce is at a very difficult stage to get good pictures. He ends up looking very different than how he actually looks b/c he gets squished up ( and looks chubbier than he is!) and uncomfortable. Big Bro Grant did an awesome job and was so gentle and sweet to Bryce while I took pictures.

Grant LOVES trains

First there was Mickey..then Elmo.. and now TRAINS! He loves trains. He loves to watch Chuggington and now Thomas and loves to look for trains when we are outside. When my mom came for Bryce's birth he brought him some Choo Choo PJS but they were 2 short outfits and after he insisted on wearing them one night when it was 32 degrees we had to put them in hiding and find long pants. He now has 4 pairs of Choo Choo Pjs and asks to wear one of them every night. He also got a Thomas the Train tent from Grandma and loves to play inside it. 4 weeks old

Bryce is 4 weeks old today! I think time flies by even faster with your second child. He is still a great little baby. The past few nights he is waking up every 3 to 3.5 hours to eat and the same during the day. He stays awake a big chunk in the morning, sleeps most of early afternoon and then back up in the evening for some more awake time. He is already out of newborn diapers and most of his newborn clothes. When we went the Dr again a week ago (bad diaper rash) he already weighed 9 pounds so who knows how much he is now.
